Kate Middleton’s Chic Sweater Dress
While thinking about a celebrity look to focus on fresh off the Holidays, I sifted through images of glam New Years Eve looks, nearly blinded by all of the Kardashians in sequins. When I regained my vision I decided that all of those sequin frocks had been tossed to the ground (or eBay) soon after the ball dropped at midnight on December 31st, no matter how fabulous they were. And most of us Non-Kardashians had done the same with our respective dresses, and won’t see sparkle unless a weekend in Sin City is on our 2012 forecast.

The Little Mermaid – San Francisco Ballet
MODEbayarea, recently had the privilege of attending another brilliant performance, courtesy of the San Francisco Ballet. The 2011 production of John Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid was both beautiful and entertaining from start to finish.
This was our first experience seeing The Little Mermaid production (my wife and I) and even though we come from vastly different understandings and backgrounds when it comes to dance (she was a dancer growing up – I have two left feet) we were both equally impressed by the set pieces, melodic music accompaniment, and of course breathtaking dancing.

Aruna Seth-A Curtsey to Heels
We all know by now that the royal wedding is almost here. What we don’t know is what Kate Middleton will be wearing.

Charity Fashion Show 2011
One thing was apparent from the show — there’s a huge demand for fashion in the Bay Area. The turnout was incredible as a runway long enough to land a passenger jet was packed with dozens of models and hundreds of fashionistas for a two hour show.
Besides supporting a great cause (The Princess Project) Charity Fashion Show gave the Bay a chance to show off its fashion chops. The overall ambiance backstage at the Fort Mason Center, was filled with enthusiasm and creativity, whether it was for fashion, charity, eco-friendly clothing, make-up or hair, everyone had one goal in mind — bringing a ridic show to an eager NorCal audience.

Charity Fashion Show- Thom Scher
Thom Scher is the current Producer and Director of Public Relations for Charity Fashion Show. In his fourth year with CFS, he has helped to make the event what it is today. An award-nominated event producer and stylist, Thom is a well known member of the San Francisco fashion community. Thom owns his own fashion PR company, Beyond The Dresses, which this year is the coordinating and managing CFS.
1. How are you involved in CFS?
