On a Budget: The 24 hour Dress!
I don’t why I didn’t think of writing this blog sooner. I’m always asked what I swear by, and what items are staple pieces for me. So I decided to share some of my budget friendly finds with you.
My first must have is the Rachel Roy 24 hour dress. The concept of the dress is that it can function all day! Wear it in the morning with a cami, work appropriate shoes, and a blazer for the office. Switch the blazer out for an over sized cardigan if you’re running errands, or with the kids. When 5 o’clock hits, upgrade the flats out for some heels, and throw on some jewelry and meet friends for a drink. If you’re having a late night, lose the cami, plung the neckline, and throw on your highest heels and no one would know it’s the same dress you wore to [...] Continue reading →
Welcoming 2012 In Style- Tech meets Fashion!
This month MODE received a $50 from Stanford Shopping Center to see how we would bring in 2012. Being that we love tech and we love fashion we thought a lap top case was the perfect choice! We already told you that Tangerine Tango was the color of the year and we’re obsessed with everything bright and fun! And we couldn’t have dreamed up a better case. We found this beauty at Macy’s and it was love at first site.
Besides being fashionable and fun, this “briefcase” is very light and comes with a handle or a strap for ease of use. It’s available in other colors too but we wanted to follow the fashion trends and go with something bright!
You can also follow Stanford Shopping Center and MODE Bay Area on Facebook if you have any questions for your Hol [...] Continue reading →

Macy’s to Carry Madonna
Recently Madonna stated, “I really like the way Lola dresses, and I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste . We mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine.”
The Material Girl collection of clothing, footwear, handbags and jewelry will hit stores on Aug. 3. And with prices ranging from $12-$40. This makes it highly affordable, and with Madonna attached to it probably highly desirable.
According to Macy’s, the target market for the Material Girl line is girls ages 13 to 24. It’s meant for an audience that is “spontaneous and fearless, influenced by (their) eclectic taste in music, dance and Hollywood.” It embraces, “self-expression and playing with layering — much like the image [...] Continue reading →
