Hair Jewelry by Meydalle
Hair accessories are making big statements this year, from Kate Middleton’s tiara, Kim Kardashian dripping in diamonds on her wedding day, and a more wearable adorned comb on Lauren Conrad’s ballerina bun.
On first glance I wasn’t really sure I could wear hair jewelry, I’m not a huge hair statement person. But after trying a high messy bun, I just knew this was the perfect opportunity to wear my 24k Victorian Golden Hair Pins by Meydalle. It instantly updated my look and complimented my furry collared coat.
I love the hair jewelry tucked underneath the bun as the gold plated chains hang below, but you can also wear it on top of your head for another elegant look. This adornment also comes in silver or red gold plated.

Chanel Haute Couture: Fall/Winter 2010/2011
You know those prognosticators that say they can predict what the stock market and the economy will do based on the hemlines in the couture shows? Well, if they’re right the Great Recession is only getting warmed up. The collection was polished and conservative. The hemlines were longer, although the jackets and sleeves were shorter. There was a buttoned up feel about the clothes, which were rendered in luxurious fabrics with simple lines. The embroidery and applique work was beautiful. In place of black, we got navy blue which we just love. Navy blue is such a great color and it’s hard to find.

AKSEL – Le Azure
Given that I usually am the one to handle all things “Men’s Fashion” & review on the site, I was pleasantly surprised when I was approached by our PR director about AKSEL Men’s Clothing.
I said yes, and a few weeks later I had in my hand “Le Azure” from AKSEL’s Men’s Shirts line. And if the rest of the line is as well made, and unique as this shirt, then we all are in store for a truly great product for men everywhere.
When I first looked at the shirt a few things immediately stuck out to me. First and foremost, the double square buttons on the front of the garment.
Far and away this was the most recognized feature by friends and family as well, as I received many compliments on the unique nature of them.
