Miguel Caballero has a unique niche on the market so to say. His clothes are bulletproof. So when he says his pieces are “one of a kind” he’s not joking.
Called by many the “Armani of bulletproof clothing” Miguel produces high fashion pieces from his workshop in Bogata, Columbia. Needless to say, but I think these may be the first “high fashion” pieces I’ve seen that are less suited for a dry cleaners, and more suited for a drive-by.
But the intirgue doesn’t stop there. Miguels been noted during interviews at his main offices, to fire bullets at his lawyer, and all 80 of his employess (some several times) in his company’s 12 year history. This is his own little way of showing and encouraging trust and loyalty in his brand of fashion.
With pieces that go from $200-$2,000, there’s clearly a market out there for a man of his vision, as his company regularly averages nearly $3 million in sales every year.
With a “stab-proof” line also available for purchase, clearly this is a company and a brand of fashion that “you can bet your life on.”
