Have you ever been in love with a dress? I have a long history of falling in love with dresses, from a daisy print mesh number in the 90’s as a teenager (Contempo Casuals anyone?) to this Marchesa runway stunner:
I have been in love with it since it walked down the runway in February for Fall 2012. It seems I am always in love with one Marchesa dress or another, but there is no way that I can simply purchase one every season. (One day, perhaps. I can dream.)So what is a girl to do but look at all of the other gorgeous gowns of the world with slightly smaller price tags?
This Twelfth St by Cynthia Vincent maxidress has the same airy, feminine appeal, but is fit for daytime:
This rose printed dress from Anthropologie is also in nude tones, with muted florals:
An asymmetric mesh dress from Mikkat Market is edgy but still feminine:
This Allsaints Camouflage dress is completely different, but I love the drape effect:
Lastly, this Line and Dot Tribal Cut-Out dress is a lovely color and the shape is so easily wearable:
Great, now I’m in love with them all.
