Last Saturday I attended the Kate Spade Trunk Show Luncheon at the fabulous Four Seasons restaurant, Quattro in Palo Alto.
The restaurant was all decked out with bright pink Kate Spade goodie bags and a fancy three course lunch menu made specifically for the event. With 12 looks to view the courses came and went, and with never an empty champagne glass.
First off here’s what I ate, because food photos are just as beautiful as clothes and accessories sometimes!
Antipasti: Chilled Watermelon Soup
Secondo: Grilled Local Swordfish
Dolci: Coconut Pannacotta
Ok so you know that sounds good as it looks! And I just loved how vibrant the watermelon soup was, very whimsical, just like a Kate Spade design.
Now on to my favorite part, the fashion!
Each of the 12 looks were head to toe decked out in Kate Spade. You will notice a lot of pinks and greens and blues, who knew fall was so colorful? Each design is so playful right down to the details, featuring lots of bows—bows on bangles, rings, jackets, shoes, and bags. I think I just realized why I am so obsessed with this brand!
I had my eye on a few purses, such as the white handbag, “Postmark,” on look three. Other must-have items were the “City Lights Valerie Jacket” on look four and the LBD citylights black knit dress on look nine—the bow was elegantly done and with the gray Bowbridge Kennedy bag, to die. And did you see the faux book clutch in look 11, that’s my fave. It’s called “Tales of 2 Cities Book.”
Have fun looking through each new piece for the Fall 2011 Kate Spade collection! And don’t miss out on another trunk show or just lunch at Quattro. Next one is on Fashion Night Out, ladies:
