Bike Shop Tour Makes a Pit Stop at Levi’s Global Headquarters

To celebrate the launch of Commuter by Levi’s® , clothing designed and optimized specifically for the needs of the urban commuter cyclist, The Levi’s and Urban Outfitters Bike Shop is traveling across America to encourage everyone to “get in the saddle.”

On Tuesday, September 20, the mobile bike shop arrives in San Francisco offering panoply of activities for bike enthusiasts, from bicycle-turning and bike wash, to a custom tailor shop. All events affiliated with the Levi’s® and Urban Outfitters “Get in the Saddle” Bike Shop are free and open to the public. Attendees will also enjoy Goldsprint racing with prizes, Heavy Pedal Cyclecide and Bike Rodeo, bicycle food carts, a human-powered amusement ride, a commuter obstacle course and bike valet. Bike Shop visitors are encouraged to bring their bikes and gear to receive free bike maintenance advice from an expert onsite bike mechanic. Services include: bike pad replacement, rewrapping handlebars, adding reflectors, inflating tires and fixing flats.

The tour’s professional tailors will be available to apply 3M reflective straps to garments and make repairs to biking apparel and accessories. The tailor will also produce complimentary bike totes to carry cycling gear. Other freebies include bike bells, custom water bottles, bottle holder and a set of limited-edition patches designed by artist Misaki Kawai (New York), Geoff McFettridge (Los Angeles) and Matt Leines (Philadelphia).
