For the past few months I’ve been constantly been hearing about these amazing sushi rolls the size of burritos! Sushi the size of burritos pretty much sounds like heaven. Burrito sized means endless flavorful bites of sushi. You should be excited. Just off of Montgomery station, this bustling lunch spot serves up perfect food for on the go. They’ve even got vegan options! Finally after months of saying I would go try it out I finally did. I was super excited because I absolutely loved the idea of fusing sushi with burritos. I always get disappointed when sushi bars have minuscule rolls that cost ten bucks or more. However this would never be an issue at Sushiritto! Portions are always big and filling.

I ordered the often raved about “Three Amigos.” It’s a medley of perfectly fresh tuna, salmon, hiramsa, yuzu tobiko, asparagus, avocado, green onions and shaved red radish. First I must say I was extremely pleased with the amount of fresh fish that was in my roll. I tasted fish in every single bite. None of that skimpy, barely there stuff. And the vegetables, oh the vegetables! So fresh and perfect. The roll also came with a wasabi mayo sauce. The only thing with this was that it all ended up at the bottom, making my last few bites a little too spicy. I’d suggest asking them to go light on the sauce. My friends got the Crispy Ebi and Smokin’ Chicken. The Crispy Ebi was good. It had the perfect amount of crunch and the crab salad complimented it to perfection. The Smokin’ Chicken looked amazing and smelled just as good. As for the vegan option, the Buddha Boy roll is the way to go! No vegan will be disappointed. Crunchy tofu alongside their Shitake Tamari sauce is definitely worth trying. Definitely on my list of what to try next, and I tend to stay away from things without meat.

For being a new restaurant with a ground-breaking concept this place is superb. They’ve created the perfect lunch spot for our busy city and kept the prices nothing less than affordable. For the amount of food you get, and the quality, Sushiritto is the place to make your regular lunch stop. This place without doubt gets BUSY. I’d suggest popping in before the 11:30 lunch rush. The awesome staff, which is always welcoming, will have you in and out before you know it.
