BP Fashion Board Nordstrom Style Contest!

We are SO excited at MODE Bay Area to be hosting a style contest between all Nordstrom BP Fashion Boards in the Bay Area! We here at MODE believe in young talent, and the ability and potential that fashion lovers have at every age! I myself started off at Nordstrom, so it’s exciting for me to see so many talented BP Fashion Board Members come together to see which BP Fashion Board has what it takes to win it!

It’s all quite simple. We’ve featured 5 looks from each store on our Facebook page. The BP Fashion Board with the most “likes” is announced as the winner! We’ll feature the Fashion Board that has the most likes on the MODE Bay Area Facebook page with a photoshoot and interviews featuring their Fall 2011 looks on MODE Bay Area. The contest runs from 5-9-11 to 6-9-11, and the winner will the announced on June 10th!

Many of the BP Board members have dreams of becoming fashion designers, stylists, buyers, and so much more in the fashion industry. We at MODE wanted to help them get started now–it’s never to early to build that portfolio! All the looks you see in the photos are available at all BP Nordstrom locations, and if they don’t carry it they can always send it out to you.

Here is a little history on the Nordstrom BP Fashion Board. These girls are really doing a lot and helping give back to the community already!

“The BP. Fashion Board is a year-long internship open to all high school level girls who are interested in exploring a career in fashion. During their Fashion Board year, members will learn the ins and outs of trend forecasting, careers in buying, advertising/marketing, styling, and the world of retail at Nordstrom. They get to meet fashion insiders from Nordstrom and the fashion industry and learn how Nordstrom develops its own label and merchandise. Members also participate in events such as fashion shows, store events and promotions, and charity events.”
