M.A.C Half lash Curler-Review

Back Camera

I am a self described eye lash curling addict. This wasn’t always the case. For most of my life I relied exclusively on on mascara to give me curl, separation, and that “wow” factor that I saw in magazines and commercials. I figured either your lashes had the curl, or you pasted a pair on that did. But one night I grabbed a friends curler and my “lash life” was forever changed. And now I feel as though I am having that experience all over again!

I usually concentrate on curling my lashes from the outside in and usually leave my inner lashes alone. The couple of times I’ve tried to grab them with a regular lash curler I’ve pinched my skin or I’ve pulled a few lashes out. So you can imagine how I excited I was to try this curler out. M.A.C describes it as: “A demi-version of the M·A·C Lash Curler. Designed to lift and curl the shorter, more inaccessible lashes at the inner corner of the eye. Works with the same easy “squeeze and release” motion of the full-sized version.” And that’s exactly what it does.

I’d say there is a very small learning curb. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it but after that it took all of 2 seconds to add quite a difference to my lashes. The extra curl definitely opened up my eyes more, and created a smoother line from one edge or my eye to other. The curler it’s self is lightweight and easy to handle. I tried even curling all my lashes with only this curler, and even though it’s possible it’s a bit more time consuming and complicated. So don’t get creative like me and use the “half lash curler” for what it’s made for. I did also use it to only curl my outer lashes for a cat-eye look and that was easy and fun too!

So what’s the final verdict? Is it worth $14, and the extra step in your beauty routine? YES! I used it all weekend and I got a few extra compliments on my lashes, and a few people asked me what mascara I was using. They were surprised to learn that the extra umph was from a “half lash curler”–and were excited to try it themselves. I would also say this is might be good option for anyone with short lashes that had a hard time grabbing their lashes with a regular curler–or doesn’t like how big a full lash curler is.

I hope you check out the “half lash curler” exclusively brought to you by M.A.C and love it as much as I do!
