Q: “Where can a curvy lady like myself find some cute and flattering high waisted denim?”

A: High waisted pants are going to be hard to find for anyone right now because they’re not a huge trend at the time. Does that mean you shouldn’t be wearing it? Of course not! One of my all time favorite plus size denim designers is SVOBODA. I wore and swore by this brand for all the years that I wore plus sizes. The material, cuts, and feel always felt amazing. I had a pair of high waisted jeans from this line, and still see it pop up on eBay. I’d really recommend checking them out because I’m pretty sure you’ll love them (in any style)! They’re web site is also great about listing how each pair fits and if it should be sized up or down. Apple Bottom Jeans also made jeans for the curvier woman with a great fit, as did Baby Phat. But again, that particular cut is going to be harder to find. I would personally save the above brands with the cut and size in an eBay search and wait for the perfect pair to find me! It might take a little bit of time, but good things come to those who wait.

Q: “What color lipstick should you wear with purple clothes?”

A: This is a great question because we’re getting ready to see a huge amount of color hit the stores. Corals, pinks, and oranges are going to be the dominate colors but there will be tons of purples too. Purple is a color that can be worn with a nude, peach, or red lip. It’s a great color that goes well with any of the classic shades. I would stay away from anything that looks purple, or has that same hue. Matching your clothes to your lipstick isn’t a good. Stick with classic colors, and switch it up based on where you’re going. Red for an evening out, nudes and peaches for the day is a combination if you ask me. Top either off with a clear gloss and you’ll have the perfect look!
