Hello Kitty Purry

Two new products I’ve been following closely have been Katy Perry’s OPI nail polish “Black Shatter” and the Hello Kitty Sephora beauty line.

The Katy Perry nail polish arrived in the mail last week. Also, last week, I made a stop to Sephora and picked up the Hello Kitty silver compact (soooo adorable and practical!) and of course I couldn’t just get one thing. An almost too helpful Sephora CSR opened all the Hello Kitty nail polishes that had just arrived in store! Smart lady. Luckily I had enough fingernails, while I applied a rainbow of colors to my fingers I asked my husband after each application, which one he liked best, just to buy me some extra shopping time . It wasn’t easy to choose one, but my pick is Blueberry.

Of course, it didn’t take long for me to get the idea to combine these two polishes, a layer of the Hello Kitty Blueberry covered by the “Black Shatter.” I was completely fashion geeking out at the transformation of my shimmery blue finger nails, as they started rocking out with the crackle of black on top.

Verdict is … both polishes top the charts! Love love loved, black shatter and got many compliments and street cred from my East Palo Alto 6th graders (it was a “teeenage dream” to them), and my adult friends as well.
