Santana Row Tree Lighting Ceremony

When I showed up the tree lighting ceremony last night with my family I had a vision of what I would see in my mind. I expected to see the tree, people, and Santa. What I wasn’t expecting were thoughtful details all throughout Santana Row. Small efforts like the streets being closed so my kids could easily navigate around and take it all in were evident from the second we walked down from the parking lot. I also wasn’t expecting to see magical characters on stilts walking around taking pictures with everyone, or Santa walking through the streets like a celebrity with his groupies (most under 4 feet, missing a tooth or two) not far behind.

There was so much to take in! The lights, carolers, musical ensembles paving the streets were some of the highlights of the night. If I had to pick a favorite part from the night, it would without a doubt be seeing it all through the eyes of my sons. He danced from the second he heard the music, and laughed and giggled at every little detail that had gone into the night. The well placed characters walking the streets looked like they had walked off the pages of The Dicken’s Christmas story and the tree made us feel as though we got to experience a little bit of what families in NYC get to start the Christmas off with. It was truly a beautiful night filled with the spirit of Christmas and the joy that only the Holidays can bring!

So bravo to those behind this event. You hit the nail on the head and  took the magic of Christmas and made it come to life! I love that after attending the Tree lighting ceremony it really feels like Christmas now, and we got to have such a unique night as a family. Thank you for inviting us out and we can’t wait to see what else is in store this Holiday season!

Got something to say? Go for it!
