It’s that time of season when I think sharing is caring. So I’ll share a beauty obsession of mine, and one that makes a great gifts for your favorite ladies during the holidays. The obsession is 100% Pure, which carries a line of natural based beauty products. Added bonus: It’s cruelty free, which means it’s never tested on animals!
Earlier this year, I stumbled across 100% Pure at Santana Row in San Jose. Interesting sidebar, Oakland is home to the Pure plant — so it’s made local, too. Susie Wang, the creator of 100% Pure, went to school in Berkeley and “created an entire line of all-natural, patent pending, fruit and vegetable pigmented color cosmetics.” She even has a fashion line coming out that will be using recycled materials and vegetable dye. How very Berkeley of her!
On my first visit, I was overwhelmed by the many Pure products: delicious smelling bath items, lotions, skin care, soaps, shower gels from peaches to pears to chocolate, and fruit-pigmented cosmetics. Everything smelled as delicious as the presentation of the products looked. You will want to touch, whiff and slather on everything–which, of course, you can and I did!
My favorites were the cosmetics, bringing me to my current obsession. I took home the Pink Caramel lip gloss, an elixir of pomegranate, wine, cherry, and cranberry, to name just a few of the fruit pigments. YUM! Seriously. I wear this nude-color (medium for my skin tone) over Pure’s lip creme stick pencil in Perfect Naked Pink (nude with a hint of pink). It glides on smoothly and feels like, what else, pure bliss.
