Street Style: Carla Falls into Floral

street

I met the fabulous Carla on my second scouting trip, the same day I’d met Lindsay. Carla’s flowing floral skirt truly caught my attention–not just because of the beautiful print, but because it was an effortless execution of the (now) very en vogue long skirt. I’m not sure who else is as enraptured by runway shows as I am, but the long skirt is now back in full force (see Louis Vuitton FW’10).

What current trend can you absolutely not stand?

More than any one trend, I don’t like to see people who’ve buried their personal style in mindless emulation of trends. That said, if someone looks comfortable, I say go for it.

Favorite song:

“This is the Day” by The The The

Favorite TV show:

Burn Notice (Guilty pleasure!)

One place you want to see before you die?

As many mountain ranges as possible. I know not one place but one concept.

If you could spend a day with anyone (dead or alive) who would it be?

Jim Harrison (the fabulous novelist).

Favorite author?

See above…Though Laurie Moore, Tim O’Brien, Ernest Hemingway, and A. M. Homes definitely all own real estate in my soul

Who is your hat by?

Livity Outernational.

I love her look and though I don’t know her, it seems to suit her. Oh the days of long skirts…I have many pictures of me and my long skirts and they were great. I like how she added the belt. I know she isn’t wearing it to keep her skirt up, but I like that she added it for another layer and texture. Very cute!

Got something to say? Go for it!
