Recently everyone has been asking me about the shine in my hair, and how rich and black the color is. Well I owe this all to the amazing new hair color system Amanda (the most amazig hair stylist) introduced me to! The INOA hair color system is a revolutionary new ammonia-free permanent hair color, brought to us by L’Oreal.
The color contains an odorless alkaline agent called MEA (monoethanolamine) that replaces ammonia, which opens the hair cuticle slightly to allow for colorants and oxidants to penetrate the cortex to start the coloring process. “It’s more conditioning for the hair and scalp,” says Ron King, L’Oreal spokesperson. “It’s like a treatment for the hair,” he says. And this couldn’t be more true. The oils that are put back into the hair through the INOA hair color really leave an amazing sheen that I’ve never seen before! I no longer need shine sprays to give my hair life.
INOA—which stands for “innovation”—works with the ODS technology (Oil Delivery System): an oil base that increases the active potential of the haircolor system while preserving the hair’s natural protective layer twice as much as traditional ammonia-based permanent hair color.
The INOA hair color has really changed the way I’ve always felt about hair color. The fact that there is no ammonia for one is great-because there is no more smell! It also pigments my hair in a way that was never possible before. Also the fact that it covers gray hair, and conditions over processed hair is something that we can all benefit from and love!
Of course VE Salon was one of the first salons to offer this extraordinary hair coloring system and as always they’re offering 20% off to anyone that mentions TBAF! Being that we’re just entering Fall and a lot of you are thinking about changing out your hair color, I highly recommend looking into this system by making an appointment at VE Salon. And if you’re looking for my stylists ask for Amanda or Shari.

Unfortunately, the INOA line is packed with ammonia. If any salon professional actually read the ingredients label for INOA they would see that “Ammonia Hydroxide” is listed on the pre and post shampoo in large amounts. Then, simply look up “Ammonia Hydroxide” in Google or Wikipedia to find that it is simply ammonia and water. Pretty sad how easy it is for a big company like L’Oreal to take advantage of unwitting hairdressers isn’t it? Try Organic Color Systems or Henna instead for something that is truly ammonia free. http://www.organiccolorsystems.com/does-inoa-stand-for-inaccurate-no-ammonia
