FACT: About 25 million people worldwide have died from this infection since the start of the epidemic.
FACT: In 2006, there were approximately 40 million people around the world living with HIV/AIDS.
FACT: YOU CAN HELP BEAT THIS EPIDEMIC!
Each year millions of people are affected by AIDS, as are their friends and family. And while we all think of horrible images from around the world when we hear the word AIDS, the truth is that it’s a part of our lives here. It affects many in the Bay Area, and while we may not be the one to find the cure , we can contribute to a foundation that will help those affected by this horrible disease.
Many local designers, and models have joined forces with one of the best choreographers in the industry to prove that fashion has heart. While charity may not the first thought that comes to ones mind when you think “fashion,” the truth is that those who are coming together on July 16th have one vision. To bring light to a social issue that affects the world, and to raise money for an amazing organization locally, The San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
