The Shoe You Didn’t Know You NEED!

I have this fabulous friend who is so trendy, and on top of it all, and a horrible influence when it comes to budgets and trying to take it easy. I always think I have everything I need, want, and should have until she puts this one thought into my head, and I’ll realize there is a huge hole in my wardrobe.

Case and point: Gold shoes. Now I have a lot of shoes, and my go to shoe is usually a neutral, unless I’m looking for a little extra “umph”. I swear I was so happy with my shoe selection, until my friends favorite gold shoe broke and we started out on a hunt together, (her and I don’t shop, we hunt.) After days of “hunting” she found a pair she loved, and I somehow ended up with a pair of gold shoes too. Go figure.

Everything was fine, till my gold shoe fell apart on day 2. For a $300 shoe I expected more, so back they went. Well my friend was happy, until her pinky went numb and almost fell off due to a lack of circulation (ok, well maybe it didn’t almost fall off) but it was bad. I did what had to be done, and took my shoes back. I didn’t find another one I loved, and it was then that I realized what I had been missing. Nothing seemed to “pop” against my army green, or look so good with my navy blues! Nude seemed so boring, and black seemed too heavy. I suddenly stood in front of a closet full of shoes with nothing to wear. Thanks friend–not really.

But all joking aside, you may not have known it till now, but you NEED gold shoes. In my opinion with a heel, but go with what you’re comfortable in. There are some amazing choices out now for every budget! Trust me once you get a pair in your closet, you’ll wonder how you lived without them!

I have two pairs of gold shoes and I love them both! One is a high heel and the other, a wedge. I bought the wedge several years back when they weren't “in” and when the strap broke because I wore them so much, I couldn't find anything to replace these favorites. Sooo, I took them the shoe guy who sewed them very discretely, and I have been wearing them ever since. You are so right; they go with everything!

Got something to say? Go for it!
