Oscar de la Renta Fall/Winter 2010

The Oscar de la Renta Fall/Winter 2010 collection was vibrant, alive, and full of character! While neutral, mono colored styles dominated most runways this season, Oscar de la Renta took every color known to man and created a collection that exuded both life and character with each and every step. It wasn’t just the color that stole the show, but also the elaborate textures and patchwork that went into each detail of the collection. Many of the pieces were infused with beautiful mosaic-like trim and fur.

Two particular dresses drew me in from the minute I walked in. One was a one shoulder emerald green dress that would flatter any body type. The other was an intricate collaboration of 100′s of patches and colors coming together to create what could easily be called an artistic masterpiece. All in all, forty-two jaw dropping looks came down the runway, including 5 luxurious fur pieces. The detail, color, and fit of each piece were truly breathtaking.

But of course, no Oscar de la Renta show would be complete without elegant, floor length gowns. Although every dress was romantic, sexy, feminine, and flattering, one stole the show. The floor length silver and black, plunging v-neck dress was made of what looked like millions of individual beads. This stunning evening gown effortlessly accentuated every curve, with a fit like a glove. With the runway show set in a museum, the value and influence of art truly resonated in the collection.

It was an absolute pleasure meeting Mr. Boaz Mazor. I want to confirm that the rumors are true; Mr. Mazor is even kinder, gentler, and even more eloquent in person. I could have spent hours listening to him talk about the beauty and magnificence that this collection embodied. I don’t think there many people like Mr. Mazor left in the world, and I was honored to be in the presence of such a unique and truly down-to-earth individual.

With the timeless designs of Oscar de la Renta, it is no surprise that the collection, consisting of over 190+ pieces, is absolute perfection. Each piece is sure to have a touch of couture and make the woman that slips it on feel as though they just walked off a Paris runway!

Thank you again to Neiman Marcus for putting on this extraordinary event and for bringing such a legend to us! This collection is sure to move into some exquisite closets very soon, especially the colored fur pieces in olives and pinks. Make sure you check out Neiman’s, or contact us and we will take care of everything for you!
