About a year ago I swore all “green” makeup off. I was tired of poorly made, chalky, that barely lasted an hour on my face. I wanted makeup that lasted and photographed well. I had yet to find one that was good for my skin, and met those requirements. For Earth Day we decided to do a series of “green fashion” blogs, and naturally one category was cosmetics.
Our Earth Day pick for makeup is NVEY ECO, organic makeup. I’m so excited about finally finding an reviewing an organic line that I love! I found the eyeshadows to have a lot of color, go on very smooth, and last all day. The blushes were great to highlight with and photographed very well. I even had a few people ask me if I had used any peels recently because my skin looked really healthy.
My skin has really loved me this past week for the makeup I’ve been using. The products are packed with soothing camomile, antioxidants, vitamins A, C & E. I personally have dry skin so it was such a treat to find something that went on with out flaking. I asked a friend with oily skin to try it, and she loved it as equally and found the products to sit on her face very well.

Fashionista, what does it smell like? I don’t wear foundations and shadows, one of the reasons being the smell of the makeup…the other reason, I don’t know how to put it on right. :p Hm, I’m thinking cosmetic show for the Fashionista!(APR)

I first thing I did was smell all the products for a good few minutes. Actually my husband walked in and looked at me like I was crazy! And ZERO smell! I will be doing makeup tutorials very soon!

Oh my goodness! Ruth! I just recently started doing the whole makeup scene. Let me say, the thing I hateeee the most is the smell! I thought it was just me! Gosh, it’s like something died on my face…came back alive and then died again. But, I suck it up with “no pain, no gain” in mind (not sure if that applies in this situation tho). =/ … lol Phew, just glad I’m not the only one! =] (APR)
